Pool Party in Little Seoul sends many to jail, but charges dropped shortly later.

A raucous all-night pool party at a short-term rental property in Little Seoul descended badly a few days ago, culminating in an officer-involved shooting that left two teens injured.

Reports say over 3 dozen underage youth and adults packed into the AlamoPad rental near the Limited Gasoline on Innocence Blvd for an unauthorized blowout bash advertised on LifeInvader & Bleeter.

The thumping EDM music and boisterous partiers drowned out repeated noise complaints from neighboring apartments.

“I could not sleep at all. All I heard was fireworks, screaming and glass bottles being smashed, The music was so loud that it felt like my walls were shaking"

said one fed-up resident.

Youths overran the property, vandalizing the exterior and throwing beer cans and trash into the pool. Intoxicated people were seen dancing and jumping from tops of gazebos into the crowded pool. Multiple noise complaints were ignored by organizers of the party.

Around 3 a.m. a sizable number of LSPD officers arrived to disperse the rowdy crowd, which included many visibly drunk minors. But rather than comply, partygoers turned their aggression on the outnumbered cops. As cops tried restoring order, a gunshot rang out amidst warring groups of people.

“They were wasted out of their minds and wanted to fight,” Bottles were tossed at us and a full-on mob mentality took over.”

Chaos ensued as terrified partygoers fled in all directions, trampling others in the stampede. The madness spilled over to the nearby LTD gas station lot as pursuing cops struggled to detain the panicked suspects.

“It was mass hysteria, just kids running and screaming,”

said clerk Moss.

In total, a dozen teens and some adults were arrested but charges were dropped. The party organizers however face criminal charges for fostering such hazardous conditions. While an investigation continues into the exact circumstances, authorities maintain the use of force was justified given the dangerous mob they faced.

Interviewed partygoers argue police overreacted to rowdy but harmless teen fun.

“People were just dancing and having beers. Cops started tackling everyone and tasering dudes, some creepy old men showed up to the party and they should've dealt with them.”

said Chen, 17.

But officers also found evidence of drug use and fighting amidst the party.

“This was no mild party. Teens showed up looking for trouble,”

Neighbor Sarina Cho said the city should hold AlamoPad accountable.

“They'll rent anywhere to turn a profit, with zero concern for neighborhoods.”

She's part of a coalition lobbying for short-term rental reforms. For now, investigators are interviewing dozens of witnesses to piece together the full sequence of events. Authorities say AlamoPad also bear responsibility for allowing such conditions to unfold unchecked all night long.
